Following Sheffield's successful hosting of the 26th annual MOBO Awards in 2024, a community gathering was organized to celebrate the event's legacy. Land a Party was brought in to handle all sourcing for the community event, securing the key suppliers needed for the discussions, performances, and local talent showcases on May 15, 2025.

Project Overview

The MOBO Awards Legacy Gathering aimed to continue the cultural impact of the 2024 awards ceremony by bringing together the community and showcasing local talent. Our client's role was strictly strategic, focusing on the crucial "sourcing" phase of event planning. This meant identifying and securing the best partners to ensure the event's components were of the highest quality and aligned with the prestigious MOBO brand.

Our Role & Contribution

Land a Party's sole focus was sourcing. Our contribution was to build the foundation of the event by finding and securing all the necessary resources and vendors. This included:

• Venue Sourcing: We identified and secured the perfect venue that was both accessible for the community and suitable for the various event components, including discussions and live performances.

• Talent Sourcing: We sourced and vetted local artists, speakers, and performers to ensure a dynamic and high-quality program that authentically represented Sheffield's vibrant music scene.

• Equipment Sourcing: We found and negotiated with audio-visual (AV) and lighting suppliers to create the professional stage setup required for performances and presentations.

• Catering Sourcing: We sourced a selection of local caterers that provided a range of food and beverage options for attendees, ensuring a positive experience.

• Photography & Videography Sourcing: We secured a professional team to capture the event, creating high-quality content for future promotional use.

Outcomes

By managing the sourcing process with precision, Land a Party enabled the event organizers to focus on the content and programming without the burden of finding and negotiating with vendors. The gathering was a huge success, attracting a large and enthusiastic crowd. Our meticulous sourcing of talent, equipment, and other vendors directly contributed to the seamless flow and high production value of the event, reinforcing the positive legacy of the MOBO Awards in Sheffield.
